Au revoir Gare du Nord! |

Saturday morning at 07:30am a bleary-eyed Lou and Flora met in Waterloo station and headed to Battersea Park for the yoga run. My evening had only finished at 02:30am in the morning so I was worried that I wouldn't be up to the physical challenge. I was also slightly concerned that those yummy fish and chips I'd had just before bed were probably still digesting...But finally, Flora is such great company that all my worries went away and we were laughing about something within 5 minutes of meeting :)
Battersea Park is gorgeous! And there are so many beautiful dogs there!
As it turns out, we rocked the Glöanna yoga run just like everyone else there. The atmosphere, despite the soggy weather, was upbeat, really laid back and friendly. There was free food. There was a Prosecco shot at the start line for everyone and that obviously helped us as we managed the 5k in under half an hour!! Well done us! The yoga was pretty relaxing (if a little chilly) and I liked our instructor who called us "lovelies". I believe the yoga instructors were from Breathe Yoga.

We made a pit-stop at the beautiful home of Flora's grandma who I found to be an inspirational lady to say the least! She kindly lent us her shower and made us some tea which she served in very beautiful cups and we all had a bit of a chit-chat. Unable to ignore our growling stomachs any longer, Flora and myself headed over to Spitalfields Market and decided to have lunch at Canteen. We kept it very British with our food, ordering the Bangers and Mash and Fish and Chips then went continental with some (more) Prosecco. I thought at one point that the bottle was actually never ending...Wishful thinking eh?!

My French friends would obviously be confused by this statement ; ) |
This is turning out to be quite the mammoth post session. I don't want to overwhelm you with information or force you to give up reading half way through because I'm just going on and on and on!!!!
So I'm going to hit the pause button for today and continue tomorrow...I hope you've enjoyed hearing about some of my London adventures.
