Yesterday it took me over 2 hours to get home. I left the office just after 6pm and got on the metro.
I always have a book with me (Don't Tell Alfred at the moment) so i wasn't particularly annoyed when i noticed that the metro was super slow and stopping at each station for a noticeable amount of time.
Two stations before i usually have to get off, we were told to exit the train and wait for the next one.
There was already a hefty crowd of people waiting on the platform and poor station guards who had to inform us that, due to a suspicious package, there would be no more trains for the time being...
I'd rather they have us all vacate the metro if there is a suspicious package - it makes me feel safe!
But because we no longer live so central, it meant that walking home was my best option.
Exercise is good and i'm happy it wasn't raining - when i popped out for lunch yesterday it was raining cats and dogs. So things can always be worse!!!
But i was ready for this tartiflette, which my brilliant JB, despite being ill, made for dinner when i got home.
Let's just take a moment to appreciate the combination of cheese, potatoes, onions and smoky bacon...
Nigella has the recipe for you, so head on over and see how you can make your own delicious tartiflette!
It's great whether you're cooking for two or if you're having friends over - just pop open a bottle of red and you're good to go!
