Happy Sunday folks, I'm in Brussels visiting a good friend this weekend. I hope you're all looking forward to the week ahead (and if you're not, maybe it's time to have a think about making a change in your professional life?) Bright blue skies have definitely been helping improve my mood however the rainy interludes are not so much appreciated - weather, take note. Here's what I have been listening to/reading/looking at on the internet this week.
This American Life podcast Cops See it Differently (Part 1 and Part 2): An insight into policing in different parts of the States which highlights racial discrimination and the struggle to find common ground.
The Paris metro victim who faced racial abuse from British Chelsea fans this past week shares his feelings about the horrible situation (The Telegraph).
I arrived quite late at the Take That party but better late than never right? I have their single These Days on repeat on my Spotify at the moment.
Instagram accounts I have been enjoying this week: @wandering_yas, @cakeboyparis and @lifeandthyme.
Dutch graphic designer, art director and urban jungle blogger, Judith de Graaf did an excellent interview with Design Sponge offering practical but inspiring advice.
Flora had a cultural Valentine's day this year.
Advice for young journalists from Ann Friedman, one half of the Call your Girlfriend podcast duo, gives great pointers to young, aspiring writers and I definitely took a lot of helpful information away from this.
