I'm sat in Oro's with a coffee in my airport outfit (American Apparel leggings, Gap t-shirt and jumper, Bensimon pumps). I feel a little silly because i don't know how to werk this outfit in the city (or on the subway) but hey given that workout gear is fairly standard here, i think i'll be just fine and should let the superficial worrying just go...Lou takes a deep breath : )
But worse than outfit worries, is the knot slowly forming in my stomach and the water that comes easily to my eyes at the thought of leaving JB.
I'm fine with leaving NYC - we're coming back in October/November, i mean come on!
My mind keeps telling my heart to remember that i'm off to London tomorrow and will be surrounded by friends and family there, plus the week is going to fly by and then JB and i will be reunited in Paris.
But my eyes keep welling up and that knot won't go away!
Today it rained in NYC. That was inevitable because
a) the Yahoo Weather app said it would rain and
b) it was so unbelievably muggy.
I got caught in the rain at Washington Square Park.
There's something i liked about the rain today. Normally i don't like being caught in it but today it felt cleansing...
I walked home the 12 blocks in it despite wearing flip flops.
The city definitely took on a bit of a frantic feel.
I spent a few hours in Barnes & Noble this morning. Good lord, i love books.
I've just started using VSCO cam (Wellies and Vogue uses it and her photos are AMAZING) so i'm getting to grips with it and hope to give you better quality photos from now on. I've been left a little disappointed by Instagram recently and the quality of my photos, but perhaps i am doing something wrong? If you've had a similar experience and have any tips for me, my ears are open to help!
This is not the last of my NY posts, i have a few left for you!
I'll be sure to get those written whilst i'm in London.
Hope you're all having a nice evening.
