Fly me to the moon...

Well, i'm sat here in our beautiful hotel, in Bali, Ubud. I can hear the rain falling outside, but we're safe and warm inside (this is mostly when i love the rain!) I'm writing on an English keyboard so i'm typing at a painfully slow rate, hence i will keep this short and sweet!

So, JB and I flew Paris to Kuala Lumpur directly and stayed in the Trader's hotel (the picture above is the view we had of the Petronas Twin Towers from the hotel SkyBar). It was a great hotel, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had an amazing spa treatment (a 90 minute massage) which definitely helped our tired bodies after the 12 hour flight! We were not far from the main bit of the city and ventured out for dinner in the evenings. I ate so much during my time in Kuala Lumpur.
I found it to be an incredibly commercial city-it had all the big shops from Paris, London and New York : shopaholics would have an amazing time in Kuala Lumpur. There were also Starbucks everywhere. Yesterday we walked around the city, taking in some of the local street markets, the wide range of architecture, explored the huge fancy shopping centres and sampled lots of the food on offer!

This afternoon, we took a 3 hour flight and then a 2 hour car ride to arrive in Ubud (if you've read or seen "Eat, Pray, Love" you may have heard of Ubud). We're staying at the Kajane resort which is just beautiful-JB didn't listen to our nightly budget rule, but boy does he have good taste when it comes to fine living :)

I'm going to sign off now - we had a yummy, fresh dinner at Three Monkeys.  :)

Ciao for now!
