I'm a huge tea fan. Tea definitely plays a big part in making my world go round. The choice is so vast. And you can enjoy tea in good company with some cake perhaps, or by yourself curled up with a good book. I find that if you make time for a tea break and a gossip with friends, it brightens up an otherwise monotonous work day.
I recently experienced 2 tea adventures.
1. I discovered white tea (plain and flavoured!)
2. I rediscovered my love for Earl Grey tea (and i think the chap this was named after is very lucky!)
White tea is meant to be very healthy for you, as it is the least processed tea leaf and therefore contains more antioxidants. I really like it, even unflavoured. I also love green tea. Just plain green tea (tip Squeeze some fresh lemon into it. Oh and never put the teabag into boiling water as apparently it kills most of the antioxidants.) I also love redbush tea. Especially this one by Mariage Frères. And don't get me started on Kusmi tea! The flavours just keep on coming!
I used to drink bog standard English tea bags when i was back on the other side of the Channel. Over here you have access to English tea of course, but it is not ingrained in the culture as it is back home. However, over here in Paris there is much much nicer coffee available. Although maybe that's changing and coffee is becoming a serious thing in England?
I cling to my British roots by basking in my love for Earl Grey tea. In fact, i'm starting to go public with my tea love affair in Paris.
So there we go. What's your (tea) poison? Any recommendations for me?
