So, what did i get up to on day 6 in this energetic city?!
Well, I started my day off at Strala Yoga with a session of Strong with Kati, who is so lovely it's inspiring. She radiates calm, energy, happiness, positivity and she seems like a really fun person. I've done 3 Strong classes with her now, and she has helped me on my way to handstand : ) Thank you Kati.
Honestly, the studio is just gorgeous!
Then I came back to our apartment, showered, had some breakfast and dropped off the laundry.
Next up, a lunch date with the lovely Jerusha, a friend of my sister's, at Life Thyme (410 6th Avenue).
This was a half hour walk from the apartment, so I really enjoyed this time to observe the city a little more and get some exercise in.
Life Thyme was a little like walking in to a dream...health food everywhere! I picked up some flax seeds for 5 dollars, some hemp oil for 10 dollars and some dried berries for 6 dollars. Am I boring you yet?!
Then we grabbed a juice, some salad and a raw coconut chia pudding. All of which was absolutely delicious and so healthy of course!! It was nice to catch up with Jerusha, who has just relocated to NYC.
Then I headed to Washington Square Park, and just hung out there for an hour, reading.
I snuck in a cheeky Chobani , the Greek Yoghurt version of Pinkberry, on my way back to the apartment to pick up the laundry...I went for fig, walnut and honey.
Back to Strala for a Relax class with Heidi Kristoffer, who was so sunny and smiley. I really love both classes, and the Relax was brilliant at the end of the day...Namaste Heidi!
FINALLY I was reunited with my love. We met up at Astor Place and headed to Bedford Street as we wanted to try dinner at The Little Owl. However it was packed with a 90 minute wait, so we're going to reserve for another evening, as the food looks delicious and the place is really cute and perfect for a little date night methinks...shhhhh don't tell JB ; )
So we ended up at Sushi Samba and shared some delicious Japanese food. Then we headed to see Wolverine...and the less we say about the better : ) we didn't think much of it. Plus the air con in the cinema was UP HIGH and i was just in a dress so that wasn't fun. But you win some you lose some right?! The rest of my day was perfect and at least being cold in the cinema was the perfect excuse to snuggle up to JB!
I'm now going to take my little legs all the way up to NYPL (New York Public Library) to catch this exhibition with Jerusha.
I'll check in with you lovely people tomorrow. I hope you're all having a nice evening!
