“How can a tree know it gives shade and that its shade is good?
How can you know at which height you are?
2. Going for coffee with a work colleague and hearing how she helped a young boy, who was not French, had no knowledge of the French language, was without his parents and therefore in a terribly difficult situation. We'll be going for coffee next weekend to try and find some volunteering opportunities in Paris. If everyone is able to contribute in some way, i believe a huge difference can be achieved. Without wanting to sound too naive.
3. Going for a run and managing 7k! Normally i manage 6k. It is the first run i have gone on since obtaining a place to run for King's College Hospital in the BUPA 10,000
This is my first sponsored race, which i'll be doing with the amazing Andrea (my friend from Brussels), for our very good friend Maryana and her wonderful mum and brave dad. Here are the girls (Andrea on the left and Maryana on the right). They're the best. More details to follow!
4. Going furniture shopping for the new apartment with JB! We had a fun Saturday afternoon on Boulevard de Sébastopol, looking at SMEG fridges (and coming across a lovely chocolate labrador on the 2nd floor of the store!), finding "the one" as in "the sofa" at BoConcept, and figuring out whether we'll need a futon or not. I wouldn't want to be doing this with anyone else!!!!
5. Devising a new exercise routine. I have to admit, i'm not doing very well on the eating front. But as it is February i'm not going to beat myself up too much.
Per week I aim to do:
1 body attack class (mental aerobics), 1 body pump (weights), 2 runs and 3 sessions of yoga. If i miss one yoga session, no biggie.
Hope you're all having a brilliant week.
